Warmup Drill: A/B
Groups of 2, designate A/B. One pad per group scattered on ground. Instructor cues “A” or “B” indicating the striker. Non-striker finds nearest pad, striker finds pad, goes into all out strike as cued (straights, groin kicks, etc.)
Round House Kick
Drill: Reaction
Striker eyes closed. Padholder cues for RHK first, followed with straight burst, OR cues for straight burst first, steps back and holds for either side RHK.
Elbows 3-5
Drill: Padholder cues for any of the 3 rear elbows. Striker sends, turns and finishes with straight burst.
Rear Choke w/ Push
Final Drill:
Groups of 3. Padholder/Striker work RHK. Attacker can cue with Rear Choke w/ Push or cue for Rear Elbow + Straight burst.
INTERMEDIATE (D1)
Ground - Back Fallbreak, High

ADVANCED (D1)
Warmup Drill: Advancing Strike Review
Striker eyes closed, neutral stance. Padholder can cue with a pad tap, knocking striker a few steps back, or verbal cue. Either way striker begins a distance from pad and must advance in with punches or kicks, depending on pad hold.
Handgun Defense - Two Hand Redirect
Advanced Gun - Under chin, in mouth, grabbing hair, etc.
Advanced Gun - From kneeling.
Final Drill:
Attacker applies gun attack or commands to get into kneeling position. Defend as necessary. If enough students are available, rotate groups to wonder and attempt to attack defender after defense, helping test continued awareness.

Dril: Punching or Kicking, gun under chin, or gunman from distance orders defender to kneel, then approaches; defender must make the gun defense from a Kneeling position

Partners face each other in the center of the room with a cone, water bottle, etc between. Each also has a stick on the ground behind them near the wall. On instructor's cue, they attempt to grab the object. The person who doesn't runs to stick and returns to attack. Reset after defense.

Final Drill:
Defender begins on ground. Attacker applies side choke. After getting to feet, Defender runs to opposite end of gym to deliver a FKVT + Palm Heel burst. On “RESET” returns to back, eyes closed.
INTERMEDIATE (C3)
360 w/ Counter
Drill: Line of Attackers
One defender stands in front of a single line of attackers. Attackers approach 1 at a time sending any 360 attack. Defend/Counter (only time for 1 punch), then attacker moves to back of the line.
360 w/ Counter + Burst/Control
Include bursting and wrapping to control the arm after the initial defense/counter.
Wrist Releases (Review)
Drill: Role Reversal
Attacker applies any wrist grab. Defender uses appropriate release, then immediately attacks with a 360. Switch original attacker each round.
Advanced: Gun to the Side, Front of Arm
In addition to the regular defense, eventually allow the attacker to attempt to use a wrist release during the attack. Defender must adjust, burst and try to redirect/control/wrap the gun.

Knife - Upward Stab; after the basic technique has been taught, discuss being let, getting stabbed first, and then reacting on the second stab.
Drill: sparring, with two or three random attackers walking around with knives; they can attack anyone; the defender must react after the first stab and control the knife, etc.
