Congratulations to Yosuke Saruta! He recently claimed the "One" World Championship in the Strawweight Division. "One" is the largest mma promotional organization in Asia.

Yosuke is a certified Krav Maga Alliance instructor at Maga Gym and a very talented fighter.  Everyone at Maga Gym supported him during the championship fight in Jakarta, Indonesia.

And of course, everyone at the Krav Maga Alliance is very proud of him.  We are honored that he is part of our family.

Congratulations to Katie Toliao Hurd, who was just named the Krav Maga Alliance Instructor of the Year for 2017. Katie is a Black Belt instructor at Combat Sports Academy in Dublin, CA. She is also an incredibly accomplished Muay Thai fighter, a member of the Krav Maga Alliance Training Team, and a true leader. She inspires not only her own students, but also her colleagues and peers in Krav Maga.  We are truly grateful to have her as part of our organization.  Congratulations, Katie, this is well-deserved!

On Friday, November 3rd, 2017, Krav Maga Alliance Founder John Whitman was awarded his 6th Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga by a committee of his peers. John received his 5th Degree Black Belt from Wingate Institute in 2012.  Rankings after 5th Degree are awarded by merit, and John was recognized for his efforts in promoting Krav Maga through the Krav Maga Alliance, the creation of the Krav Maga Pro app, his continued training as a practitioner in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and firearms, and his dedication to helping other Krav Maga programs grow.

KMA is growing and last weekend we ran 2 simultaneous Level 1 Krav Maga Instructor certs. Congrats to our newest Level 1 KM Instructor candidates!

Congratulations to Julio Villarreal from Combat Sports Academy (CSA) in Dublin, CA. He's our Featured Instructor of the Month!

Julio is a 1st degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, the Lead Instructor of Krav Maga at Combat Sports Academy (CSA) in Dublin, CA, and holds "train the trainer" status as a Krav Maga Alliance Training Team Member. He has been training Krav Maga for over a decade and has taught since CSA first opened in 2009. Hailing from one of the most decorated Muaythai gyms in the world, Julio has expanded his training by competing in kickboxing and Muaythai. He also regularly trains in Crossfit and boxing. Outside of the gym, Julio holds a Master's Degree in Social Work and is a Clinical Program Manager working with youth and their families in the foster and juvenile justice systems.
