Congratulations to the 2 dozen or so students who all tested and received their Advanced Krav Maga Alliance Belts last weekend! We had all advanced levels testing! A couple 3rd Degree Black Belts from Europe, a handful of 2nd Degree Black Belts, a large Black Belt contingent as always, and a group of Brown Belt testers, as well!
Everyone did a great job, came to work hard, and left it all on the mats here at the Krav Maga Alliance headquarters in Los Angeles, CA!
Congratulations to Brice Martens! He's our Instructor of the Month for August 2016! Brice just earned his 3rd Degree Black Belt from Krav Maga Alliance from our Founder John Whitman right here at the KMA Headquarters in Los Angeles!
Brice is the founder of Krav Maga Evolution in Belgium, and has over 15 years of experience in Krav Maga. He is also officially recognized as an instructor by the State of Israel (from the Wingate Institute).
Brice tested for his 3rd Degree Black Belt here in LA with 2 of his Krav Maga Evolution instructors and one of his students (who all tested for their Black Belts).
Congratulations to Brice, and his team!
Opportunity

Opportunity does not knock.
Opportunity drifts past you on a stormy sea. If you want it, you must dive in and swim for it. You will lose sight of it as you are tossed about by the waves, but you must persevere. You will struggle in currents that work sometimes for you, often against you. And once you grasp that opportunity, you must be prepared for it to drag you down before it lifts you up. You will carry its weight in the water long before your opportunity helps you float above it. But when it does, you'll ride the wind and waves.
Congratulations to our new KMA Krav Maga Level 2 Instructors! This recent certification was held at the Krav Maga Alliance headquarters in Los Angeles, CA under lead instructor and KMA Founder John Whitman! Everyone did great, and we look forward to your Level 3 Certification in the near future!
Congratulations to the recent Level 2 Instructors from Krav Maga Verona and Fight and Fit Club in Italy!
John Whitman conducted an Active Shooter Seminar at East Valley Krav Maga in Phoenix. Saturday, July 2, 2016. Over 100 people were in attendance, plus 4 media interviews!
Thanks to everyone who came to the seminar over this past weekend! We worked on Long Gun defenses, Active Shooter drills, and much more!
Everyone did great! Thanks to everyone who came!
Here is a variation on a Level 3 (Green Belt) Technique for Headlock from the Side while on the Ground. This is a Bridging option for when the attacker is more adept than average at shifting their weight forward and back as you try both Green Belt techniques.
