Striker makes elbow followed by 2 palm strikes and a Front Kick Groin, then returns to palm strikes on padholder #1.
Wrist releases
360 defense v. Haymaker
Drill: A/B Non-compliant attacker. Attacker makes wrist grab. Defender makes wrist release. Attacker can disengage or follow up attack with Haymaker. Defender makes 360 with follow-up combatives. Emphasize wrist releases looking non-aggressive, but shifting gears as soon as haymaker in motion.

Thai Pads
Round 1: Free work; 1K-10K
Round 2: In between calling combinations, Pad holder can make a hook with the striking surface of the thai pad. Striker covers against the hook on their rear side and counters with a lead hook/cross/lead round kick. Striker covers against the hook on their lead side and counters with a cross/lead hook/rear round kick.
Round 3: Striker covers against hook to the body on their rear side and counters with a rear uppercut/lead hook/rear kick. Striker covers against hook to the body on their lead side and counters with a lead uppercut/cross/lead kick.

Drill: Groups of 3. 2 tombstone pad holders, 1 striker. Striker starts off throwing broken flurries on 1 tombstone. Second pad holder approaches from the side or rear and hits striker with the pad to get their attention. Striker looks, throws appropriate elbow or hammerfist and then follows up with broken flurries on second pad holder. First pad holder then repeats drill.
Choke from Behind
Drill: Same as above, but now pad holders may opt to ditch their pads in favor of a choke from behind.

Drill: Groups of 2. 1 attacker, 1 defender. Starting in headlock from the side position. Defender has 60 seconds to get out as many times as possible. Attacker may shift weight forward/backward to make defender's escape difficult (not impossible). If defender escapes during the 60 second round, they should immediately resent and go again. At the end of round, switch roles. Once both have gone in each role, switch partners and repeat.
ADVANCED CLASS (A1)
Thai Pad Combos: Switch stance only, combos 1-10 with kicks. One 5-minute round. Spend 30 seconds on each combination (0-30s combo 1, 31-60s combo 2, 61-90s combo 3, etc.)
Sparring Drill: Switch stance only. Gloves & Shin-pads on. Partners take turns throwing one combo at a time (1-10 kick optional). Receiver works on defending punches/kicks while in switch stance.

Multiple padholders, some with FM on right hand, others right. Defenders eyes closed. PH cues by grabbing wrist, either grabbing lightly or HARD! If light, apply release, if HARD, send strikes to focus mitt.

Final Drill:
Groups of 2 alternate between applying/defending various wrist releases. Roaming attackers apply side choke to either person.
INTERMEDIATE (A1)
Forward/Backward Rolls
Drill:
Grps of 2. PH + Striker. Striker begins at one pad, all out combative based on instructor cue. Instructor cues for forward or back roll. Striker performs and PH follows. Striker gets up and sends next combative.

Round 1: Pad holder calls out a number between 1 and 4. Striker throws that many palm strikes, always beginning with the lead hand
Round 2: Pad holder can also call 1Elbow through 4Elbow. Striker throws the number of palms called, followed by an elbow 1.
Round 3: In between calls of 1-4 and 1Elbow-4Elbow, Pad holder can mimic takedown by attempting to press shoulder to Striker's waist. Striker makes Basic Takedown Defense and follows up with 2 knees.

Drill: Round 3 from earlier. In addition, Pad holder can call "DOWN" and Striker (safely) gets to Back Position, makes Front Kick from the Ground and Tactical Get-up, then returns to striking on pad holder's call.
Intermediate (A1)
Headbutt (Front, Side, Rear)
Drill: Groups of 3-4, Striker, Pad1, Pad2, Pad3 (Tombstones). Striker begins back against wall, Pads pressing against. Pads jostle Striker, also raising pad and cueing “HEY!” for Headbutt. Striker sends appropriate Headbutt and fights off wall/out of Pads (Note, clinching is permitted if available). After getting free, reenter Pads and reset.
Headlock from the Side
Drill: Groups of 3-4, Striker, Pad1, Pad2, Pad3 (Tombstones).Defender stands in neutral with eyes closed surrounded by Pad holders. Now instructor can call "FIGHT!" for drill from earlier and Defender must fight their way out of pads. Instructor can also call "ATTACK!" One of the pad holders drops pad and applies Headlock from the Side. Defender makes defense and then must through the other pad holders.

COMBO: 4 Straight Punches + Front Groin Kick + Axe Kick (Same Leg), switch fighting stance, repeat.
Jumping Front Kick
DRILL: Pad Line. Pad holders line up in a line. Strikers perform a single kick to pad, then shuffle to next pad.
Headlock Side – Spinning Inward
DRILL: Roaming Attackers can apply either Headlock Side Regular OR Spinning Inward. Defender responds accordingly.
