Advancing Round Kick (like front kick) — emphasize using the ball of the foot
Choke from Behind with a Pull — discuss the possibility of using Round Kick with the Ball of the Foot
ADVANCED CLASS (B1)
Focus Mitts with disturbing (pad holder strikes the puncher, then calls a combination)
Axe Defense v. Overhead — like stick defense, but emphasize opening outward with the defending arm so that the axe head moves away from the body. If you want to be very elaborate, you can tape rubber knives perpendicularly to the end of sticks to create an axe head.
BEGINNER (B3)
DRILL-WARMUP: Alternating Palm Heel Tabata
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Striker sends all out Palm Heels for 20 seconds. During 10s rest, Striker takes pad and partner strikes for second round. Repeat for 8 rounds TOTAL so (4/4 each).

DRILL - FINAL:

BONUS: Depending on pace of attacks, the attackers can look for opportunities to attack other defenders nearby with any L1 static choke, AFTER they defend against wall, and are transitioning to reset.

Drill: Groups of 3- Defender; eyes closed, on pad holders signal, defender makes an advancing push followed by a punch flurry, 3rd person comes up from behind and makes choke form behind push, defender defends, then resets.

Drill: Groups 5; Defender in the middle, pad holder will say "Hey!", defender makes the appropriate kick

Thai Pads – basic combinations
Drill: groups of 3, two with thai pads; striker must make combinations while moving to keep second pad holder “lined up” so the striker deals with only one at a time; now and then, the second pad holder jumps in and becomes the first pad holder; BLACK BELTS do this from an opposite fighting stance.
Stick- Overhead defense
Drill: Defender starts on their knees, attacker gives a verbal signal and makes an Overhead Stick attack, defender must get to his/her feet as quickly as possible and make an aggressive defense

Palm Heel Strikes
DRILL: Strike w/ Distraction
Grps 3, Pad, Striker, Distractor. Striker sends all out Palm Heels. Distractor attempts to pull, move, obstruct strikes.

Same as above, however distractor should attempt to work down to and hold wrist for release.

Grps 2, Striker Padholder. Padholder holds pad against chest. Striker sends combo of various upper body front combatives (Straight, Hammer, Elbow, etc.), eventually clinching and finishing with several knees (padholder adjusts for knees when clinched).

Quick Drill: Groups of 2; striker; on the ground doing push ups, on pad holders signal striker gets up and makes a defensive Front Kick followed by non-stop knees until pad holder calls time

Drill: 1 round of 2 minutes; one defender, 2 attackers; non-stop attacks from Level 1-3; defender makes a One Arm Shoulder Throw when possible.
