"Dear John,

Thanks for all the help this weekend. I learned more from you in 3 days than I did in the prior Krav Maga training. You forced me to dig deeper into my teaching toolbox and I feel as though it has improved my teaching greatly. And yes I did have a lot of fun (along with all the hard work) this weekend."

This week, KMA Force, the law enforcement and military division of the Krav Maga Alliance, officially conducted its first course.  Run by Director Jeremy Stafford, the course has proved to be a huge success.

This particular course was designed for civilian Krav Maga instructors who are interested in teaching Krav Maga to law enforcement personnel. The course is structured to give these civilians an idea of the particular needs of LEOs.  It isn't just another "kick your ass" Krav Maga certification (although there is plenty of hard work). The program includes lectures on case law, use of force, warm ups applicable to law enforcement personnel, nutrition information, and more.  Practical training involves everything from basic Krav Maga to handcuffing, search procedures, and the use of non-lethal force such as tasers and OC spray.

I am extremely proud that Jeremy Stafford is running this division.  I am also very happy with the quality of the instructors going through the program.  Since my earliest days being involved with the Krav Maga system, I have believed that the true indication of an organization's strength isn't the person at the top, it is the next generation coming up.

If that philosophy is true, then the future of the Krav Maga Alliance is secure.

Thanks to everyone!

John

KMA Force, the law enforcement and military division of the Krav Maga Alliance, is conducting a week-long certification to prepare high level civilian instructors to teach basic techniques to law enforcement officers.  Check out a few pictures from Day 1 in the media section of the website!

This is the KMA Force logo on the window of Director Jeremy Stafford's Simi Valley Krav Maga. I am biased, but I think it looks bad ass!

Jane Dawson of Krav Maga Milwaukee has been training women in self defense.  She is pictured here with administrators from Kohl's Department Stores after conducting a seminar for Kohl's female employees.

Here, you can see her with some of the girls in an at-risk program where Jane has volunteered.  Jane's dedication makes her the kind of person we want in the Krav Maga Alliance.  Thanks, Jane!

RE: KMA Force Instructor Course, 11 July -15 July, 2011

All,

First, I want to thank you for being part of our very first certifying course. It's an exciting time at the Krav Maga Alliance! I know that several of you have questions regarding what you’ll actually be doing. Fair enough! Without going into too much detail since this is an unsecured area of the website, I can tell you that you’ll be dealing with the following:

And much, much more…

This training will be unlike anything offered anywhere else.

The first half of day one will be rigorous. This is where we will separate the people who think that they belong from the people that do belong. It will be comparable to a belt test. This is not a “gentleman’s” course. You will work hard; you will get punched and kicked. If you are not in shape now, you are running out of time. We are building an elite fraternity and your attendance at the course is not a guarantee of obtaining a KMA Force teaching certificate. I will be sending all of you a KMA Force Instructor agreement. Because of the open nature of the Krav Maga Alliance, Alliance HQ does not get involved in how you run your business; I think we can all agree that that’s a good thing. However, This is different. Since you will be representing the Alliance during your interactions with Military and Law Enforcement professionals, there will be a code of conduct and KMA Force policy. More will follow on this, but I mention it to let you know just how important providing quality training to our Military and Law Enforcement professionals is to John and me.

I just want to finish by telling all of you how honored I am to be able to provide this training for you. I have no doubt that this training will allow you to serve a sector of the market that is lacking in professional-grade training. Stand by for more courses, including a firearms instructor course for affiliates and a several other innovative training certifications to allow you to capitalize on the market. We will make a difference!

For Warriors, By Warriors!

Jeremy Stafford.

Director, KMA Force
