Drill: Non-stop strikes on pad, defend Long Gun from Behind touching or Gun from behind touching.
Beginner (A1)
Punches- Left/Right Combination
Drill: partner calls out even numbers (mostly 2, 4, 6) and striker makes that many punches, leading with forwards hand. At least twice during the round, the partner calls out a number of higher than 10.

Drill:
Groups of 2, Padholder with focus mitts. Padholder cues for number of Left/Right straight punches. Striker sends. Padholder can shoot in for sloppy takedown.
360 Defenses
Drill:
Same drill as above, but padholder can add 360 attack.
Side Choke
Final Drill:
Same drill as above but 3rd/roaming attacker can apply either side Side Choke. Defend and continue with drill.
INTERMEDIATE (C1)
Warmup Drill: Kick & Roll
Setup a pad line holding for front groin kicks. Strikers position in front of pad. On “GO!” all out front groin kicks. On “LEFT” or “RIGHT” strikers sprawl, roll to the appropriate pad and begin kicking again.
Front Kick w/ Advance (fighting and neutral)
Defense vs. Front Kick (redirect)
Defense vs. Front Kick (stopping)
Drill:
Defender stands eyes closed in fighting stance. Attacker gives verbal cue and sends a Front Groin Kick while holding tombstone pad. Defender defends kick appropriately and sends counters to pad. Attacker may also may cue and hold for an advancing front kick from the defender.
Bearhug Front - Arms Free (Leverage on the Neck)
Final Drill:
Add Bearhug Front option to the above drill.

Technique Review Drill:
1 Defender/1 Padholder.
Padholder moves around defender and cues for any elbow strike. Defender sends, turns and sends combative burst. Build to 2 then 3 elbows per cue (Elbows 1-4 only, 5-7 still only 1).

Final Drill:

Drill: Groups of 2; striker; non stop palm heel strikes from mount position, on pad holders signal "UP!", striker; gets up and makes non stop Front Kicks groin, on pad holders signal "DOWN!", striker, once again mounts the pad and continues with palm heel strikes from mount.
Choke from the Side
Choke from Behind
Drill: Groups of 3; striker starts from mount, non stop palm heel strikes for 30 seconds, then stands up and continues with counters on the 2nd pad, attacker; attacks with either Choke from the Side or Choke from Behind. Reset!

Thai Pads/Ground and pound- 2-2 minute rounds- Opposite Stance
- combinations, kicks, knees, elbows and sprawls, on instructors signal "DOWN!", striker; mounts the pad and delivers non stop strikes, on instructors signal "UP!", striker; gets up and continues with working the pads.

Warmup Drill: All Run
Rnd 1: On “Run!” cue all students run randomly about the room, changing direction every couple of steps. Alternate between cues to “Run!” and various exercises (pushups, squats, situps, etc.)
Rnd 2: Students perform a 3-4 step burst/sprint, decelerate, change direction and sprint again.
360 Defense (at least upper defenses, include lower based on time)

This is highlighting the "non-soft" response to a more aggressive wrist attack.
Final Drill: Fish Tank
Mark off an area using cones. One student is designated as the attacker. All students enter the area and begin walking around randomly. Eyes should be looking toward the ground to increase surprise. The attacker can select any student to either apply a wrist pull or push and send multiple (3-4) 360 attacks. After defending, the defender becomes the attacker, walking among the students looking for a victim.
INTERMEDIATE (C1)

-Combo: Padholder cues for either side RHK + Jab/Cross + Rear Elbow

Combo: Same as above, but after combo, padholder can attack with either side RHK, requiring striker to block accordingly.
Rear Choke w/ Pull
Final Drill:
Striker (no gloves on), Padholder and Attacker. Padholder cues for either side RHK, then sends RHK attack. Attacker applies rear choke w/ Pull. Striker defends and returns to pad work.
ADVANCED (C1)
Warmup Drill: Slow Work
Any Level non-weapon self defense (based on experience of class) but defense is performed SUPER slow. All strikes should actually make contact but at a speed where no injury can occur. Focusing on crisp movement and accurate counter strikes. Rotate defender/attacker after each attack/defense.
Straight Punch/Knee Review:
Padholder (KS) can cue for “2” (Jab/Straight Combo), “Burst” (all out straights) or “Knees” (all out knees
Drill: Distraction
Group of 3. Striker sends all out straight punches. Third person has two options:
Use hands to grab at striker’s shoulders, arms, hands, etc. to disrupt striking, depending on skill level, can also send strikes to striker’s head, stomach and legs.
Can hold pad across body, shoulder pushing striker from rear off angle, requiring striker to turn, clinch and send all out knees. Padholder cues to “RESET!” and striker returns to punches on original pad.
Advanced Gun - from behind, attacker close (hug defense)
Final Drill:
Same as above, but third person can add in gun attack in addition to distraction options.

Drill: groups of 3; one person stands in front of the defender holding a focus mitt; defender should try to deescalate the situation; if that person comes too close, the defender throws a right hook; second attacker stands behind and sometimes tries to make full nelson (surprise attack).

Drill: 30 second Challenge!
Continuously work todays combo for 30 seconds straight! The goal is to do it FAST and SMOOTH, with out stopping.
Ground- Forward Roll
Drill: pad holder bumps striker from behind, Striker; makes a Forward Roll, gets up, turns to face the pad and immediately attacks pad with non stop strikes until pad holder calls time.
Headlock from the Side
Drill: Drill: Groups of 3; defender eyes Closed, pad holder; bumps defender from behind,defender; makes a Forward Roll, gets up, turns to face the pad and immediately attacks the pad with non stop strikes, attacker; makes Headlock from the Side. Reset after a successful defense!
