Single Leg Takedown

Drill: defend either headlock from ground, get up and attack the pad with non-stop strikes until pad holder calls time. Reset!
ADVANCED CLASS (C1)
Focus Mitts-Opposite Stance- 3 Rounds of 2 minutes- non-stop combinations (Zero Down Time bet. Combos), 30 seconds rest bet. Rounds.
Knife on the Ground – full mount, downward stab
Gun on the Ground – full mount, trap and roll
Drill: eyes closed, open on command, react to gun or knife

Groups of 2, standing between borders of small area (between cones, a couple mats, etc.) One designated Leader, other Follower. Leader can shuffle/move between the cones, sprawl, roll, etc. Follower keeps up. Switch for several rounds.

DRILL: Cue & Do
Groups of 2. Padholder, Striker. Striker neutral, eyes closed. Padholder cues for one of 3 elbows. Striker opens, sends and turns toward pad.
Rear Choke
*Spend extra time to emphasize practice to both sides.
FINAL DRILL:
Groups of 2. Defender, Attacker. Striker neutral, eyes closed. Attacker can cue with Rear Choke or cue for Elbow + Straight Burst. Can include additional combatives based on Defender’s experience.

Groups 2. Padholder, Striker. Padholder cues for FGK or either side RHK. Start with 1 strike per cue, build to 2...3

Groups 2. Padholder, Striker. Padholder with focus mitts, holds up either mitt. Striker sees and sends 1 HARD straight punch. Start in fighting stands, eventually hands up/neutral stance, finally neutral stance.

BEGINNER (C1)

Striker stands in the middle of 2-4 padholders. Padholders cue for striker to send all out strikes to their pad, turning if necessary.
Basic Takedown Defense (Changing height, moving feet)
DRILL:
Grps 2: Def, Atk. Def eyes closed. Atk cues from various distances before attempting takedown.
Knees w/ Clinch
DRILL:
Same as above, but after defending takedown, Def sends knees.
Wrist Release Defenses
FINAL DRILL: Def neutral, eyes closed. Atk can cue with wrist grab or shoot in for takedown.

FINAL DRILL: Def eyes closed. Atk can cue with bearhug or cue for takedown. If taken down, defender can use Guard Defense to gain dominant position.
ADVANCED (C1)
W/U DRILL:
Striker places padholder in Muay Thai clinch and sends light/fast alternating knees. On instructor’s “HIT!” striker sends next knee full power, returns to light/fast strikes. Repeat for several rounds. End with GO! GO! GO! for all out knees.
360 Defense w/ Counter (Focus on Lower attacks)

*Attacker grabs shirt with opposite hand and stabs repeatedly. Defender defends stabs, performs elbow pull and moves to dead side.
FINAL DRILL:
Headgear and gloves on. Attacker attacks with shank attack. Defender can actually send counters to head before elbow grab.
NOTE1: Due to gloves, attacker will have to grab shoulder versus shirt.
NOTE2: Defender may not get as good a grip on elbow, but should still work.
