NOTE: For safety purposes, the Choker should take a second before attacking instead of attacking immediately after Inside Defense to protect from slamming the throat from the momentum.

Round 2 begins with B on the ground defending, other letters shift forward one spot with A being the last attacker.

DRILL - FINAL: Musical Guns
Grp 2, 1 gun per group. Distribute group guns throughout room on the floor. On cue to “WALK!” everyone wonders the room with eyes down. On “GO!” everyone attempts to locate and pickup a gun. Those who find a gun should find ANYONE without a gun and attack them.

Drill: pad holder calls out combos 3 or 4; at any time, a second attacker makes Headlock from Behind

INTERMEDIATE CLASS (B2)
Focus Mitts: Combos 3 and 4

Drill: Monkey in the Middle with Side Kicks, Front Kicks, and Back Kicks
Ground: Elbow Escape from Full Mount
Drill: Monkey in the Middle as above; at any time, a pad holder yells "down!"; defender must drop, defend full mount, then get up and continue

Grps 2, Padholder/Attacker, Striker/Defender. Defender begins on back. Pad Holder cues for Ground Kick, gets up and attacks with Choke.

INTERMEDIATE (B1)
Headbutts (Forward, Side, Back, Upward)
DRILL1:
Grps 2, Padholder Striker. PHR moves around STK and cues for any headbutt. STK sends headbutt and turns to orient toward pad for a forward combative burst (straights, hammers, elbows). While turning, STK can send an appropriate transitional strike, but should not make contact.

DRILL2: Slow Work
Same as above, but no pad. STK begins neutral/eyes closed. Partner positions at any angle and cues to “Open”. STK opens and SLOWLY sends appropriate headbutt, transition strikes and finishes. All strikes should be sent SLOW and actually make contact.

Ground - Choke, Full Mount
Ground - Headlock, Full Mount

DRILL - FINAL
Grps 3. Defender/Striker, Attacker, Padholder. DFR begins on back, mounted by ATK. ATK applies either ground attack. After defending, PHR approaches and DFR should send combo from DRILL1 above. Note headbutt angle will depend on where pad is located upon getting up.

Grps 2, Attacker, Defender, gloves on. ATK begins in mount. Instructor cues “GO!”. ATK sends punches, DFR covers and absorbs. Instructor cues “DEFEND!” ATK stops striking and DFR performs Trap, Buck and Roll

DRILL2:
Same as above, however this round ATK can attempt to stay in the mount and continue striking.

Ground - Guillotine
Ground - Guillotine Escape

Full Nelson - Throw

DRILL - FINAL
Grps 2, Attacker, Defender. DFR begins in Guard. ATK applies Guillotine, defend. DFR gets up and moves to crash pad. ATK applies Full Nelson, defend. Return to position and repeat.

Beginner (B1)

Straight Punch with Retreat
Drill: Striker; eyes closed, Pad holder holds pad at a close distance for a bit further away from striker and gives a verbal signal, striker makes either Straight Punch with Advance OR Straight Punch with Retreat.
Choke from the Side
Ground: Front Kick
Drill: Groups of 3, 1 Large Pad; Defender; on their back, Front Kick from Ground, get up and follow up with counter attacks, attacker makes a Choke from the side; Defender; defend and reset.

Intermediate (B1)
Side Kick (with and without advance)
Back Kick
Combo: Side Kick/Back Kick (both sides)
360 with counterattacks
Choke Behind with a Pull
Drill: Attacker fights back!
Groups of 3; Defender; non-stop strikes on pad; attacker makes Choke Behind with a Pull, as the defender is making their defense, attacker takes a step back and makes a 360 attack. Defender; makes the appropriate defense and continues with counterattacks on pad.

Advance (B1)
Thai Pads: 3 Rounds of 3 Minutes.
Round 1: Combos- Include Kicks, Knee, Elbows
Round 2: Opposite Stance- add sprawls
Round 3: Kicks and Knees ONLY- Pad holder may call kick and knee combos to make this round challenging for their partner.

Attacker- Head Lock from Full mount
Defender makes the appropriate defense, quickly gets up, advances towards pad with non-stop counter attacks. Attacker; once again attacks defender, this time with Choke from Behind with a pull.

Advance (B1)
A/B Drill w/sprawls:

DRILL:
Grp 2, Padholder, Striker. Striker sends combo above then step pivots about 90 degrees to either side of padholder. Pad holder reorients to striker to repeat combo.

Headlock Rear
FINAL DRILL:
Grp 3, Padholder, Striker, Attacker. Same combo as drill above, but attacker can apply Headlock Rear.

Ground - Fall Break - High
Ground - Trap, Buck and Roll

DRILL - FINAL:
Grps 2, Defender, Attacker. Attacker begins neutral, eyes closed. Attacker should apply Choke Rear w/ Pull, but pull back and down attempting to put defender on the ground. If possible, defender can make the defense. If unsuccessful, defender will end up on the ground. Attacker should mount for trap, buck and roll.
NOTE: Be sure to practice the Choke Rear with a “difficult” pull prior to the final drill.

Axe Defense - Overhead

DRILL: Circle of Death - Stick Edition
Defender surrounded by attackers with sticks. Attackers cue and attack from any angle with stick/axe attacks. NOTE: Attacker should not wait for defender to orient so attack is from front. Cue and GO!

DRILL - FINAL: Circle of Death - Super Deadly Edition
Same as above, but attacker can utilize any attack/weapon.
