Drill: Non-stop strikes on pad; defend either Hair Grab; after the defense attacker attacks with a wild right punch, defender; defends (Outside Defense v. Right Cross) and continues with non-stop strikes on the pad.
Advanced (B3)
Thai Pads/Ground and Pound: Thai Pads and one kicking shield per group; 2 Rounds of 3 minutes. (Opposite stance), basic combinations, Knees, Elbows, Kicks; On instructor’s signal “Down”, striker; mounts pad and delivers non-stop strikes from mount. On instructor’s signal “Up”, striker stands up and continues working combinations on Thai Pads.

Quick Drill: Any level 1 & 2 techniques; execute a hip throw when available

Tony Cianflone has over 31 years of martial arts experience and holds a second degree black belt in hapkido. Tony has been training in krav maga since 2003 and has also trained in several other martial arts and fighting systems, including wing chun, jiu jitsu, and DNA (Defence Lab), and is a certified Level 5 Krav Maga Force Training (LEO) Instructor, a certified civilian krav maga instructor, as well as a certified Defence Lab Instructor. Tony is the owner and head instructor of Krav Maga Force in Chicago, Illinois, which opened in September 2013 and he has recently added a new StrikeFit program to his curriculum.
Tony, also, currently works full-time as a Chicago Police Officer and has 26 years of law enforcement experience, including 24 years with the Chicago Police Department and 2 years with the Cook County Department of Corrections. During his time as a Chicago police officer, Tony spent 14 years as a Tactical Gang Officer, as well as a number of years as a member of a robbery team and has received numerous department commendations, life saving awards, and meritorious unit commendations for his time as a gang officer. He is a certified carbine operator and has been certified as Field Force Operator from Fema's Center for Domestic Preparedness, has completed training through the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for Psychological Preparation for Combat, and has attended the Terrorism Awareness and Response Academy through the United States Department of Homeland Security. Most recently, Tony has been certified through the State of Illinois for public dignitary protection.

Strikers lying on belly, eyes closed. Padholders roam, cueing Strikers with pad tap. Striker gets up as quickly as possible, sending a burst of Straight Punches until Padholder cues to “RESET!”
Knees w/ Clinch
DRILL:
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Striker neutral, eyes closed. Padholder pushes off balance with pad. Striker gets balance, bursts in with punches, eventually transitioning to several knees. Reset.
Choke Rear w/ Push
DRILL - FINAL:
Defenders spread out around room, neutral, eyes closed. Attackers roam, choosing to cue with pad push for combo above or Choke Rear w/ Push.

Grps 2, Defender, Attacker. Attacker applies Choke Rear Against Wall. Attacker can decide to disrupt Choke Defense, applying Bearhug.

Grps 2, at one end of the gym, one mounted on Kickshield. On “GO!” mounted person sends all out strikes to pad. Partner runs to opposite end of gym performing 3 burpees, then runs down to relieve striker.

Thai Pads: 3 Rounds of 2 Minutes- opposite stance-Power shots (every punch, every kick has to have KO power)
Sweeps with Heel Kick
Quick Drill: Groups of 2; any level 1,2 or 3 technique; sweep with heel kick, if the sweep is available

Advanced Gun- from the front, assailant pushing
Drill: Groups of 4-5; non-stop self defense techniques from Level 1,2, 3, Knife- downward stab and Advanced Gun- from the front- assailant pushing.

DRILL - Pendulum
Grps 2, Striker, Pad Holder. Padholder holds for FGK, slowing moving the pad in a “U” shape. Striker sends continuous kicks, transitioning from FGK to RHK and back based on position of pad.
Elbows 1-3.
DRILL - Cue & Do
Grps 2, Striker, Pad Holder. Padholder moves around Striker, positioning pad for appropriate elbow and cueing to “HIT”.
Choke - Front (2-Hand)
DRILL - SLOW Work
Grps 2, A/B. Alternate attacker/defender each round. Defender moves through defense in slow motion, allowing counter-strikes to actually make contact. Each round, defender should look to send a different series of combative to finish.
DRILL - FINAL: HARD Chokes
Roaming attackers, apply chokes as hard as possible.
Note 1: SAFETY. Instruct/practice attackers applying pressure to sides versus trachea.
Note 2: Discuss Raise/Turn defense (Choke Front w/ Push) as backup option prior to drill.

Each striker will perform both rounds BEFORE switching. Only take enough time between Rnd 1 and 2 to explain/designate new combative assignments for padholders.

Grp 2, Defender, Attacker. Once defense begins, attacker should attempt to resistance however possible. Rotate, one-for-one.
Review: Resistant Attacker, Knife

DRILL - FINAL:
Grp 2. Same as above, but defender should begin eyes closed. Attacker can choose which weapon to attack with. Continue to rotate one-for-one.
