DRILL - WARMUP: G&P Slow & GO!
Each student mounts a kickshield. On “GO!” send all out Hammerfists to pad. On “SWITCH!” must get up and find a new pad.

DRILL:
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Padholder cues Striker with pad tap on either side. Striker sends appropriate Hammerfist, orients and finishes with Knees then resets.
Choke Side
DRILL - FINAL:
Same as pad drill above, but Padholder can cue for strikes or apply Choke Side.

Same strike combo as above, but Padholder can also apply either Bearhug. Reset.

DRILL - WARMUP:

20s Pushups + 10s Straight Punches, 20s Squats + 10s Front Groin Kicks, 20s Alternating Knees to Elbow (in plank) + 10s Knees. Switch. If necessary, do two rounds per person.

Drill: Groups of 2; striker; non stop palm heel strikes from mount position, on pad holders signal "UP!", striker; gets up and makes non stop Front Kicks groin, on pad holders signal "DOWN!", striker, one again mounts the pad and continues with palm heel strikes from mount.
Choke from the Side
Choke from Behind
Drill: Groups of 3; striker starts from mount, non stop palm heel strikes for 30 seconds, then stands up and continues with counters on the 2nd pad, attacker; attacks with either Choke from the Side or Choke from Behind. Reset!

Round 1- Focus mitt Combination- Left uppercut/Left hook/Right cross
Round 2- Focus mitt Combination- Right uppercut/Left hook/Right Cross
Round 3- Focus mitt Combination- Left uppercut/Left hook/Right cross/Right uppercut/Left hook/Right Cross
Ground- Headlock Side Forward
Ground- Headlock Side Backward
Drill: Striker; non stop strikes from mount, attacker; SAFELY tackles striker off the pad and makes either Headlock from ground, defender; makes the appropriate defense, gets back on the pad and continues with strikes.
Advanced (C1)
Thai Pads/Ground and pound- 2-2 minute rounds- Opposite Stance
- combinations, kicks, knees, elbows and sprawls, on instructors signal "DOWN!", striker; mounts the pad and delivers non stop strikes, on instructors signal "UP!", striker; gets up and continues with working the pads.
Knife- defense v. straight stab
Knife- defense v. forward slash
Gun form the Front
Advanced Gun- from the front, assailant using off hand
Drill: Eyes closed; defend against Knife or Gun
BEGINNER (A1)
360 Defense
DRILL: Attacker Line
1 Defender, Attackers facing Defender in one line. Attackers come forward sending 360 attack and returning to back of line after defense.
Knees w/ Clinch
*Add in burst/clinch/knees into 360 defense
Choke Rear
DRILL - FINAL:
Grps 2, Attacker/Defender. Partners alternate attacker (360) and defender (360/burst/clinch/knee). Choose a group(s) to be roaming attackers, applying Choke Rear to whoever is sending Knees.

DRILL:
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Striker sends 5 POWER Uppercuts per side, then sends 2xL/R Straight +L/R Upper+2xL/R Straight as fast as possible. Repeat for time.
Defense vs Low Round Kick (Shin Block)
DRILL:
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Padholder cues for focus mitt combos, working in Uppercuts as possible. Padholder can also send Round Kicks for defense.
Bearhug Front - Arms Free w/ Space
DRILL - FINAL:
Grps 2, Striker, Padholder. Padholder cues combos same as above, also sending Round Kicks, but can also apply Bearhug. (Note: They will have gloves/mitts on for defense.)

Grps 2, Attacker, Defender. Partners alternate attacker/defender, applying Gun Front attack.
Advanced Gun Front - Under chin, hair grab, mouth, etc.
DRILL:
Same as above, but Attacker can apply either Gun Front attack.
DRILL - FINAL/SPARRING:
Grps 2. Begin round with 30s sparring round. Both strip off gloves and begin alternating Gun attacks for 60s. Repeat sparring/defending for several rounds. Switch partner pairings throughout drill.

It's so easy to be an armchair critic these days. It's much easier to criticize and put those around you down then to elevate your own standard. Those that continue to learn continue to grow.
Here is a variation on a Level 3 (Green Belt) Technique for Headlock from the Side while on the Ground. This is a Bridging option for when the attacker is more adept than average at shifting their weight forward and back as you try both Green Belt techniques.
