Round 3: Puke Round! 30 seconds power punches, 30 seconds 2 round kicks right and 2 round kicks left, 30 seconds 2 punches and a burpee, 30 seconds speed punches
Choke from the Side
Drill: Groups of 3; 1 Thai pad holder; 1 striker/defender; 1 attacker. Thai pad holder calls for 1K-4K. At any time, Attacker can apply Choke from the Side. Striker/Defender makes defense and returns back to pads.
Intermediate (D1)
Defense v. Hook (covering and extended)
Defense v. Straight Punch Low (quick review from Level 1)
Focus mitts
Round 1: Basic punch combinations
Round 2: Focus mitt holder can make hook with striking surface of the focus mitt any time between combinations and Striker makes defense.
Round 3: Focus mitt holder can also attempt straight punch low with focus mitt. Striker must make defense
Outside Stabbing Defense v. Front Kick
Drill 1: Partners; gloves and shin guards. A can attack B with a hook punch or Straight Punch Low. Switching back and forth, 5 for 5.
Drill 2: Same as Drill 1, but if Attacker can land Straight Punch Low, Defender leans forward and Attacker makes Front Kick. Defender makes Outside Stabbing Defense v. Front Kick. Switch partners as time allows.

Partner and Kick Shield
Scissor Front Kick
Scissor Round Kick
Combative Stations: Multiple Lines of 4 or so depending on numbers (add G&P to a pad if you need to even the group numbers up). One minute at each station, non-stop, as hard and fast as possible. 10 seconds to transition to next pad. After full rotation, pad holders and strikers switch roles.
Round 1 Stations:

Round 2 Stations:
-2 palms to an elbow
-2 round kicks right/2 round kicks left

Advanced Gun – under the chin, in mouth, grabbing hair, etc.
Drill: Circle of Death: Groups of 4-5. 1 person in center is defender. Attackers can apply any attacks Defender has tested and Advanced Gun – under the chin, in mouth, grabbing hair, etc.
BEGINNER CLASS (A1)
Hammerfist Forward
Round Kick
Elbows 4 and 5
Drill: Pad holder taps Striker with pad, holding while upright for Elbow #4, or pushing Striker slightly forward for Elbow #5. As a follow-up, Pad holder holds pad to chest for 4 forward hammerfists, or steps back and angles pad for a Round Kick followed by 4 forward hammerfists.

Drill: A/B Drill with roaming attackers. Attackers can tap with pad for drill from earlier, or apply Headlock from Behind
INTERMEDIATE CLASS (D1)
Back Kick
Uppercut Back Kick
Drill: Groups of 3; 1 pair of focus mitts; 1 curved kick shield; 1 striker. Striker throws basic combinations to focus mitts on mitt holder’s call. At any time, curved KS holder can verbal cue and hold for Back Kick or Uppercut Back Kick. After delivering appropriate kick, Striker makes 6 follow up hand combatives to curved KS, and then returns to focus mitts.
Drill: Same as previous drill, except after delivering appropriate kick to curved KS, Striker should use footwork during follow-up hand combatives to stack attackers, moving so curved KS holder is between Striker and mitt holder. After stacking while delivering 6 hand combatives, Striker returns to focus mitts.
Defense v. Hook (extended)

Choke from Behind with a Pull
Drill: Groups of 3; A attacks B with hook punch. B defends using extended or covering. At any time, C can attack B with Choke from Behind with a Pull.
ADVANCED CLASS (D1)
Overhand Right Punch
Thai Pads
Round 1: Free work with combinations 1-10, no kicks or punches yet. Replace standard cross with Overhand Right Punch.
Round 2: 1Knee-10Knee, replacing standard cross with Overhand Right Punch
Round 3: 1K-10K, standard cross on punch combinations is fine, but follow up every combination with Overhand Right Punch/Left Hook to the body (liver shot)/Right elbow.
Machine Gun Takedown (Lifting & Leverage on the neck)
BEGINNER CLASS (A1)
Straight Punches - emphasis leading with the right.
Elbow #1 -3
Knees
Drill: eyes closed, partner makes a strong push; defender recovers and makes a strong right punch, then continues with elbows and knees

Drill: eyes closed, partner either pushes from front or makes Choke From Behind
INTERMEDIATE CLASS (D1)
Striking: straight punches, elbows, groin kicks, knees to pad; 30 seconds of non-stop work, 15 seconds rest; 3 rounds

Fall Break
Drill: partner pushes defender with pad, defender makes fall break, kicks, and gets up to continue striking.
Choke Front Against Wall
ADVANCED CLASS (D1)
Thai Pads: 2 rounds of 4 minutes; last :30 seconds of each round is non-stop, alternating round kicks
One-Arm Shoulder Throw
Drill: attacker pushes defender, then makes 360 attack; defender makes 360 defense and one-arm shoulder throw.
Gun From The Front
Drill: eyes closed, attacker pushes then presents gun; defender makes gun from the front.
BEGINNER CLASS (B1)
Review straight punches, groin kicks, and knees
Drill: Tabata striking (2o seconds of striking, 10 seconds of rest) for 5 rounds

Fall Break

Circle-of-Death: 1 defender, rest of class with kick shields. Defender starts on the ground in back position, attackers crowd around. Defender must deliver front kick from the ground to attackers non-stop for 90-seconds. As attackers are kicked away, more should take their place immediately.

Focus Mitt Drill: Round 1 – Free work basic combinations. Round 2 – Add an elbow strike to end of all basic combinations. Round 3 – Add headbutt forward to the end of all basic combinations with an elbow
360s with Counter Attacks
Drill: A/B drill. Group A attacks, Group B defends. Defenders starting in passive stance, eyes shut. Attackers get defender’s attention before attacking with any outside looping attack. Defenders perform 360 w/ counter and finish the fight before returning to starting position.

Advanced Gun – from behind, attacker close (hug defense)
Drill: A/B drill. Group A attacks, Group B defends. Defenders starting in passive stance, eyes shut. Attackers get defender’s attention by putting a gun in their back. Either Gun from behind (traditional) or attacker close (hug defense).

Tabata Punches: 8 rounds of 20 seconds on, 1o seconds off
Review Groin Kick and Elbow #1 quickly (this is a technique heavy class!)

Focus Mitts: Combos 1-4
Focus Mitts: Combos 1-4/cover v. hook/cross hook or hook cross; for example, if pad holder calls for Combo #1, he will catch the punch and make a hook with his free hand; striker must recoil his punch and cover, then give Cross/Hook as a counter. If pad holder calls for Combo #2, he will catch the left/right, then make a hook with his free hand; striker must recoil his punch and cover, then give Hook/Cross as a counter, etc.
Defense v. Low Round Kick (shin block)
Focus Mitts (both participants need shin guards); Combos 1-4, pad holder throws low round kick after striker makes combo

Drill: pad holder moves around and gives targets for Left/Right or Front Kick Vertical Target. Sometimes after the Front Kick, the pad holder says "Down!" and the defender must drop down into Ground Back Position. Pad Holder moves around and Defender follows. Pad holder moves forward and Defender kicks, then gets up. Do at least 7 repetitions before switching.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS (C3)
Defense v. Low Round Kick (shin block)
Bearhug Front, Arms Free
Ground - Hip Escape from Side Control (go to full guard)
Ground - Arm Bar (emphasize the after the arm is broken, the defender should kick the head and get up)
Drill: Light sparring, open hands. Partner A uses hands only, but Partner B can also make low kicks. Partner A must defend low kicks with Shin Block. Partner B can also say "Clinch" and move on for Bear Hug Front, Arms Free. Partner B can also say "Down" and Partner A must drop down and give Side Control, then escape from Side Control and make Arm Bar. Do at least 7 repetitions before switching.
ADVANCED CLASS (C3)
Punches and Elbows to Tombstone Pad

Ground - Side Control (review)
Ground - Hip Escape from Side Control (kick and get up instead of pulling guard) (review)
Drill, Group of 3: Non-stop punches and elbows to pad; third person calls "time" and then the defender and the third person clinch; third person makes Hip Throw and gets Side Control; defender does Hip Escape from Side Control, kicks, and gets back up and begins punching again. Do at least 7 reps before switching. This should be tiring!
Gun from Behind, Touching
Drill (if there is time): repeat the drill above, but sometimes the third person threatens with a gun instead of calling "time."

Drill: A/B Drill — one person in the middle, 2 pad holders, one at each end of the room. One holds for punches (A), the other for Front Kick Vertical Target (B); instructor calls out where to go, and the person in the middle sprints there and strikes.
For added difficulty, include a sprawl in the middle of the room every time they run

Axe Kick
Partners; 1 curved kick shield.
Round 1: Basic target recognition for 2 hand combatives, knee, FKVT, round kick, or FKG. Pad holder can hold in any order, but for safety will not hold for the same combative twice in a row.
Round 2: Add axe kick after FKG
Round 3: Add sprawl on instructor’s call. On instructor’s call of “DOWN!” Pad holder drops pad on ground and Striker makes nonstop Ground and Pound strikes until instructor calls “TIME!” Striker and pad holder immediately return to Target Recognition.

Knife Upward Stab v. Left Handed Attacker
Drill: defender stands with eyes closed; attacker gives verbal signal and attacks with right or left handed upward stab.
