Drill: start on ground; partner holds pad and gives command to get up; defender gets up and punches and elbows non-stop until partner gives command to sit down again

Front Kick Vertical Target

Drill: as above, but now pad holder starts at different distances; defender must get up, then decide whether to punch or kick; if kick, then continue with punches and elbows.

Choke from the Front with a Push

Awareness Drill: groups of 3; defender closes his eyes; the attacker makes the choke, while a third person stands somewhere nearby; the defender must defend, then spin the attacker so that he is between the defender and the third person

NOTE: For safety purposes, the Choker should take a second before attacking instead of attacking immediately after Inside Defense to protect from slamming the throat from the momentum.

DRILL - FINAL: Musical Guns
Grp 2, 1 gun per group. Distribute group guns throughout room on the floor. On cue to “WALK!” everyone wonders the room with eyes down. On “GO!” everyone attempts to locate and pickup a gun. Those who find a gun should find ANYONE without a gun and attack them.

Drill: Groups of 2 (partners should be about same size and hight), Small shield; Non stop Palm Heel Strikes, on instructors signal "GO", striker Fireman or Piggy back carries pad holder to the opposite end of the room and back, and continues with strikes.

Drill: Groups of 4-5; 90 seconds, One defender, non stop attacks.

Drill: Groups of 3; Striker works the above combination, 2nd pad holder walks towards the striker form behind and gives a verbal signal, striker; executes a back kick and continues working the pad.

Drill: Interference Drill- 3 rounds! Alternate each person in groups of 3.

Warmup Drill: 50/50 Tabata
20s Straight Punches, 10s Rest, 20s Knees, 10s Rest x 4 Rounds, then switch.

FINAL DRILL: Circle of Death
Def in middle, attackers in a circle around. Attacks with stick from various angles/attacks. Defend and reset. If defender knows stick vs. stick, can retain stick for one attack after disarm.

Headbutts (Forward, Side, Back, Upward)
DRILL1:
Grps 2, Padholder Striker. PHR moves around STK and cues for any headbutt. STK sends headbutt and turns to orient toward pad for a forward combative burst (straights, hammers, elbows). While turning, STK can send an appropriate transitional strike, but should not make contact.

DRILL2: Slow Work
Same as above, but no pad. STK begins neutral/eyes closed. Partner positions at any angle and cues to “Open”. STK opens and SLOWLY sends appropriate headbutt, transition strikes and finishes. All strikes should be sent SLOW and actually make contact.

Ground - Choke, Full Mount
Ground - Headlock, Full Mount

DRILL - FINAL
Grps 3. Defender/Striker, Attacker, Padholder. DFR begins on back, mounted by ATK. ATK applies either ground attack. After defending, PHR approaches and DFR should send combo from DRILL1 above. Note headbutt angle will depend on where pad is located upon getting up.
