Drill: Distance recognition – defender stands with eyes closed; attacker with pad stands at different distances and gives verbal signal; the defender opens eyes and throws the appropriate weapon for the distance.
Headlock from Behind
Drill: same drill as above, but add Headlock from Behind as an attack
Focus Mitt Combos 1-4
Ground and Pound – straddling pad, throwing punches, hammerfists, and elbows
Drill: groups of 3 — ground and pound, then jump up to make focus mitt combinations, then back down to ground and pound.
Ground – Arm Bar
Ground – Guard Reversal
Light sparring – one attack, one defend, short combinations
Light sparring – both attack, both defend, light contact
Gun – gun from the front against a left-handed gunman, use both the regular technique and the 2-handed cupping technique.
