At End of Warm Up, Practice Get Up from Ground

Straight Punches

Elbow #1 left and right side

Drill: start on ground; partner holds pad and gives command to get up; defender gets up and punches and elbows non-stop until partner gives command to sit down again

Front Kick Vertical Target

Drill: as above, but now pad holder starts at different distances; defender must get up, then decide whether to punch or kick; if kick, then continue with punches and elbows.

Choke from the Front with a Push



Review Low Kick Defenses (groin and round kick)

Review Punch Defenses

Sparring: rounds of 1 minute, light work

Gun from the Front (2 handed)



Combo using kick shield and focus mitt: Left Front Kick Vertical Target/Right Punch/Left Round Kick

Sweep with Heel Kick

Drill: make the combination above lightly to partner, then step in and sweep

Drill: partner sweeps with heel kick; hold on as you go down, make arm bar

Knife Downward Stab

Drill: make the defense against Knife Downward Stab; after making counterattacks, execute a sweep instead of a disarm
