Straight Punches

Front Kick to the Groin (review)

Round Kick

Drill: partner moves around the room, holds for straight punches, front kick, or round kick

Ground – Back Position

Ground – Round Kick

Ground – Get Up

Drill: start on ground; deliver round kick and get up; deliver front kicks or round kicks, then drop down and restart



Uppercut Punch

Focus Mitts: start close, give Combo #8 (Right Uppercut/Left Hook/Right Cross)

Focus Mitts: start close, give Combo #9 (Left Uppercut/Right Cross/Left Hook)

Outside Defenses 1-5

Drill: groups of 3; one person faces straight ahead; attackers can move around in a half circle in front (each one takes one quarter of the circle) and either one throws a straight punch; defender must react with outside defense and make counters, then return to their spot.

Bearhug from Behind, Arms Caught

Drill: as above, with another attacker sometimes making Bearhug From Behind (Safety Note! the punches should be aware when the attacker makes bearhug)



Sparring – light work, no rest, switching partners every minute

Drill: Toe The Line – stand with partner, body shots only, 45 seconds, then move down the line

Headlock from the Side, Neck Break Defense
