Straight Punch Review

Left/Right Combination

Round Kick (both legs; discuss switching movement with foreward leg)

Combo #1 to tombstone pad

Combo #2 to tombstone pad

Choke from Behind with a Push



Tombstone Pad: 2 rounds of 2 minutes; emphasize straight punches and elbows #1 and #6 to pad

Side Kick- include turning to face new threat

Drill: groups of 3; one person does basic strikes to tombstone pad; second pad holder from either side gives signal; defender makes Side Kick, then turns to continue striking the new threat; do TWO rounds of 1 minute each, alternating.

Thai Pads: 3 Rounds of 2 minutes, 1 minute rest. Combos 6 & 7, sometimes punches only, sometimes ending with knees, sometimes ending with elbows. Focus is on power, NOT cardio, so allow short reset or break between striking combinations.

Sparring drills: 4 rounds of 1 minute; each round, one person attacks with 3-4 strikes; the other person defends and counters; the original attacker should just cover up rather than defend;

Long Gun from the Front, live and dead side
